FRP Wear Pads

Fiberglass Reinforced Wear Pads

Allow for expansion and contraction with dedicated, sacrificial wear pads.

FRP Wear Pads

Made of durable Isophthalic Polyester these bearing pads are used in pairs, similar to Teflon® or Fluorogold® Slide Bearings. Typically, the lower pad is fixed in place and remains stationary. The upper pad is fixed to the upper member and will travel as movement occurs.

The wear that develops remains confined to the FRP Pads, which can be readily replaced. Lifespan depends on psi load, frequency of movement, operating environment and temperature.

Benefits of FRP Pads vs. other Slide Bearing Assemblies are lower cost and ease of replacement. They do not offer the same psi limits as Teflon® or Fluorogold® and in many applications have a shorter service lifespan.

FRP Wear Pads do not require mechanical anchoring. Epoxy bonding is the fastest and most economical method of fixing the pads in place.

For pipe and curved applications, they are available in stock sizes with a pre-formed radius. Custom Sizes and Bends Can Be Made To Order.
